Tristan da Cunha

I knew some information of this place a short time ago, when my desire was try to travel and to know so many places and cultures, but chiefly my desire is to know the geography of the lands, and his climate.
I found the information of this archipelago visiting an old encyclopedia in my home, in Valparaíso, looking for the reference of "island", In this moment I knew that Tristan da Cunha is the most remote inhabited archipelago in the world.

In the main island lives 80 families and share just seven surname, because the rest of the area is quite mountainous, then I could to climb, that I like a lot. Also the clime is very rainy so if I go there in a very very long time, I could spend the time in a house, and probably I stay to living there.

I prefer in this moment travel alone, but maybe I travel with other people. I think in my young sister, because she likes try to travel to Tristan too. Who knows? Just by looking at the photographs of the islands energized me to go some day. No, really I'm exaggerating. But I really would like to go.

The Grapes of Wrath

Today, and after two sessions absent, I'll write about "The Grapes of Wrath", which in spanish means "Las Uvas de la Ira". It's an American realist novel written by John Steinbeck, published in 1939. I got this book  provided that someday I return it to her owner, but the book is so good that I'm rereading.

The story of the book goes back to the 30's in a rural society steeped in a economical and territorial crisis after the Great Depression in 1929, in which Joad family must to emigrate from Oklahoma to California, after selling their land to the capitalist machinery, what Steinbeck shows as a non-human, silent and unkind entity.

What i like to this book is the dedicated atmosphere impregnated in each detail of the color, vestments and emotional states of each character, and overcoat the quiet time that recreates the pain of the story.
It's a long book, but anyway I recommend.
